REDNECK RENOVATIONS

He hauled his double-wide down to the hollow
Got it leveled up and cut down all the trees
Built a porch to keep the sun off of his coon dogs
And bought a goat or two to keep down all the weeds

Then relaxin’ on the tailgate with a cool one
It strikes him how that lot looks kind of bare
He sees a good place for his old refrigerator
And he can put that car on blocks right over there

Chorus 1:
He’s makin’ some redneck renovations
To his little piece of heaven down that washed-out country road
A true blue ribbon restoration
These redneck renovations are gonna make it feel like home

Now cable hadn’t made it to the country
So he bought a dish to bring live wrestlin’ in
Put some brand new naugahide on his old love seat
And found a country gal to snuggle up with him

Slowly he can see the transformation
With her blue light special touch in every room
In the yard a tractor tire filled with flowers
And the trailer strung with Christmas lights in June

Chorus 2:
They’re makin’ some redneck renovations
To their little piece of heaven down that washed-out country road
A true blue ribbon restoration
These redneck renovations are gonna make it feel like home

Repeat Chorus 2
